Feasibility study: Insurance of fruits and vegetables in Uzbekistan

The study focusses on the potential multi-peril indemnity insurance product as a coverage for the most vulnerable farmers of the fruit and vegetable sector. Furthermore, on such aspects as horticultural production and export volume, categories of farmers, farm risks, status quo, capacity and prospective of Uzbek insurance market. Major objective of the feasibility study was to evaluate the viability and scope of horticultural insurance in Uzbekistan with the service focusing on low-income farmers. This report summarises all findings of the undertaken feasibility study.
